Reservations and bookings can be used to give a yogi a permanent spot in future classes. Find out more in this article about the difference between a reservation and a booking.
A recurring membership within Momoyoga is for the automatic renewal of a monthly membership. This is often used for yogis who are weekly booked to a class of a series that never expires.
A class pass is usually used for flexible booking and cancellation of classes. It ensures a yogi is not attached to anything. When a class pass has expired, a yogi does not have to purchase a new one. This makes it difficult to give a yogi a permanent place, for a series of classes that never ends. After all, you are not sure whether a yogi will buy a next class pass and comes to class.
Options for a weekly fixed spot with a class pass
If you would still like to add a yogi to a series of classes with a class pass, it's certainly possible. There are multiple ways to do this. Find two examples below:
A class pass with 52 credits
You could choose to offer a class pass with 52 credits and the validity of one year. This makes sure that the yogi can book classes ahead.
If you would rather avoid offering a class pass with that many credits but would still like to give a yogi a fixed spot, that is certainly possible. It requires some additional customization for the admin (or teacher). A yogi cannot arrange this himself.
A class pass with 4 credits
Another option would be to offer a class pass with 4 credits and a validity of 4 weeks. A yogi can purchase this class pass using the class schedule, or you could assign one to the yogi. After doing so, follow these steps:
- Go to Classes
- Click on the first class that the yogi is going to attend.
- Select the yogi in the Add participant section
- Select This class and all following
- Click Add
- If the yogi has multiple valid class passes (or memberships), select which product you'd like to use for the class series
Step 4 makes sure that the yogi is added to all the classes of the class series, even the classes that the class pass with 4 credits is not valid for. By doing this, you've reserved a fixed spot for the yogi for the future weekly classes.
Please note: The first 4 classes were booked and paid for using the class pass. From the 5th class on, the yogi is signed into this series of classes without payment, as the class pass is no longer valid or/and has no more credits. The yogi will be displayed as an unpaid reservation in these classes.
Repeat the process with a valid class pass
If the yogi wants to attend the 5th class, the process needs to be repeated. After the yogi has purchased a new class pass you can delete the yogi from the first class without payment from these series and directly add the yogi again. You will see the yogi is now signed in with payment again for the next 4 classes. Take the following steps to do delete the yogi:
- Go to Classes
- Click on the name of the perspective yogi
- Delete the yogi from the class
- Select This class and all following
The yogi is now deleted from this class and all following unpaid classes. The yogi purchases a new class pass or you assign one to the yogi and repeat the process by adding the yogi to the series of classes.
Please note: It is not possible for yogis to cancel classes that are an unpaid reservation. After these classes are set as booked, they are able to cancel.
